Virtually impossible to find, this restaurant is in the hamlet of Pythos which
lurks off a back road in the north of the island…it is in a converted olive press adjoining the home of its proprietors Ben and Claudia Philo, both top class chefs, who met in the kitchen of Antony Worrall Thompson in London after honing their skills in establishments in various parts of the world….their dishes are largely their own creations based on modern Mediterranean style with a Moroccan influence….absolutely delicious….sadly the restaurant is open only in the winter months and then just on Saturday evenings and Sunday midday….this is because their main business is as caterers for villa parties and private events which keeps them fully occupied during the summer…..which is fine for those lounging in their villas but not so wonderful for locals not yet aware of the benefits of
calling in superb caterers for that special occasion.
